At the Hudson-Chatham Winery we will be sponsoring a great BBQ event with two of the region's and the state's best meat producers Trowbridge Angus and Grazin' Angus Acres. Both have national reputations. And to add to that mix we have the THE DIGITS from Athens, New York, a popular bar band which plays regularly throughout the state.

The Saturday of Father''s Day Weekend, will be the date for this event. Order up grilled chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers or steaks! Or order a cheese plate! Share a glass or bottle of wine.

GRAZIN' ANGUS ACRES

Dan Gibson is the owner of Grazin' Angus Acres. Grazin' Angus Acres is committed to raising the finest quality registered Black Angus in a sustainable 800 acre eco-friendly environment. Our registered Black Angus enjoy the rolling lush hills of northern Columbia County, NY as they graze large pastures of high protein grasses. Grazin' is the first in the region ("The farm with the windmill") to harness the area's natural wind power for a large percentage of electrical needs and Grazin's grass fed chickens provide the farm's nitrogen needs in addition to the best eggs available. Furthering our eco-friendly efforts, Grazin's offerings are locally raised exclusively for our local NY market.

TROWBRIDGE ANGUS

The middle son of the Trowbridge Family, Phil, after growing up on the family farm, went on to Alfred State College and earned his degree in 1976, where he majored in Animal Science. The day after graduation he reported to work as a herdsman at Gallagher’s Angus Farm in Ghent — a fledgling business owned by restaurateur and entrepreneur Jerome “Jerry” Brody. Now, more than 30 years later, Phil, his wife Annie, and their two children, P.J. and Amy own and operate their own family Trowbridge Angus operation in Ghent, NY, on the eastern part of NY state, where the Trowbridge Angus legacy is getting stronger and stronger every day.

Throughout his career, Phil has dedicated himself to elevating the Angus breed to new heights of greatness. Known for his sharp instincts and keen eye, he has a track record of recognizing a calf ’s potential and spotting the breed’s most valued individuals. According to an industry expert, “In a short time, Trowbridge completely revitalized the grand old tradition of Angus families from a new and innovative perspective. It’s no accident that Trowbridge Angus Farm’s animals are considered to be an elite herd of super cattle, legendary in the industry.”

THE DIGITS

A popular band from Athens, NY. Born simply of an acoustic duo, the digits soon evolved into something not of this earth with their killer mix of music from the 1970's to the PRESENT hits. "A great mix of current and the best classic material that will leave you just blown away".The approach is simple…give it all you've got and the good news will travel.The band does electric and what we call 'hot' acoustic shows.What is that? Essentially it's our standard electric set list done on acoustic guitars and usually a small drum kit (the monkey kit)Classic Covers:the Who, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, the Beatles,ZZ Top, David Bowie, John Cougar Mellencamp, Van Halen, and U2.also modern rock from bands such as:Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, the Strokes, REM, Collective Soul, Lenny Kravitz, Filter, the White Stripes, Train, Presidents of the USA, Oasis, and much, much more!
